I worked as VFX Executive Producer and On-Set Supervisor, managing the entire VFX process across six different vendors: four in Italy and two in India.
To capture the tiger across different stages of growth, we worked with six real tigers, starting from cubs. Since tigers grow quickly, we needed to film them over an extended period, always in a familiar environment. For this reason, we built a large greenback setup in their own habitat, minimizing stress and allowing us to capture natural behavior.
These animals were later seamlessly integrated into digital environments through high-precision compositing, preserving their realistic appearance and movement in every scene.
This complex and sensitive work demonstrates how visual effects, when thoughtfully applied, can enhance realism without sacrificing authenticity.
